Week 20

The kitchen has a place to eat!

Kitchen again.

We put the shelves back in the bathroom and a temporary mirror is up.

Jason installed our light in the bathroom!

Here are pictures of where the house stands after 20 weeks.  I'm just posting pictures of every room, except Jamie's room, because she was sleeping and her room hasn't changed any.  :)

Sunroom and my "office".

Weeks 17, 18 and 19

Here's the dining room!  Wall paint is finished and the trim on this wall is painted.

We still have to paint the rest of the trim, but the walls are finished!

The kitchen floor is done!

Jason did a bunch of security stuff around the house.  He installed smoke detectors, window locks and a latch on the basement door (so Jamie can't go down the stairs)!

The master bedroom!

Here's what the kitchen floor patch looked like when they were done!

And here's the first round of sanding on the whole floor.

Jason finished edging the green in the dining room.

In action :)

All the wallpaper is stripped off in the master bedroom!

We put up the closet door in the master bedroom.

I started tiling the walls in the upstairs bathroom!

Today the guys have been working on patching the kitchen floor.  It looks like there used to be a wall and the kitchen sink sat in the middle of it.  I'm still trying to figure out what the original configuration of the kitchen was.  Anyway, this is what my house looks like right now.

They are cutting out the existing boards in a "random" pattern so the patch isn't as noticable.

Dining room with my stove and piano...

Hallway from living room to the stairway.  Yes, that's my refrigerator.  At least we don't have to go far to get food while we're watching TV!

Ok, so I've been a bad blogger.  I haven't updated in a while.  We were on vacation for a week, then we came back and it was my birthday, so we partied for a week, then Jason and I went on a romantic, baby-free weekend getaway.  Now we're back, and work has resumed on the house.  Here's where we stand.

Work began on the last 2 floors in the house that haven't been done.  Yesterday the guys pulled or hammered in all the staples in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom floors!  No more walking on staples!

We still have no kitchen, no bathroom and no dining room, so this is what the sunroom looks like right now.

If you look really hard you can see my desk.

Work began on the dining room!  First we sanded and washed, then we primed...

And the ceiling was painted...

Then we marked where the chair rail will go...

Then we put on color!!

Without the tape.

We still haven't cut-in around the trim or put the second coat on the walls yet.  We also haven't painted the trim yet, just primed it.
